Modern ID World was a multidisciplinary exhibition presented by the col.20649 collective, exploring the layered complexities of cultural identity in contemporary society. 

Through a blend of collages, textiles, and videos, the exhibition opened a dialogue between tradition and modern life — reflecting on how heritage, memory, and personal experience shape who we are.

The works examined the role of cultural practices and ancestral knowledge in shaping identity, while questioning how these elements adapt or endure in an ever-evolving world. At its core, the exhibition asked: how do we carry our cultures with us, and how are they reshaped in diasporic or Western contexts?

By presenting diverse perspectives through the lens of multiculturalism, Modern ID World sought to reveal the emotional, cultural, and social complexities of navigating identity today — especially for those living between worlds.
